• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Morning Thread

3 legged wonder

Your dog will do fine with only 3 legs. I had a border collie with 3 legs (she lost it in a trap) and she did just fine. You'll find that the other leg will come more center so she can balance better. Glad she survived...

As far as weather is concern, here in NW Montana we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and planning on getting a couple more inches before Wednesday. Then after that they are saying that the highs will only be in the low 20's with lows 0's and lower.... Brrrrr.... That means more hay for the horses, dogs in warm kennel/garage (and not leaving other than to go potty very quickly), Spyder & Harley in warm garage too... Break out the snowmobiles!!!!

Pets are very resilient. I have a cat that is missing half of both her back legs. She is able to get around and does pretty much what she wants--except for going up high.

She has been with me for almost five years now. Best personality of any cat I have had as family.

Headed off to the medical facility for another test. Hope the drugs work as good as last time. :roflblack::roflblack:

What's her name?? :D

I think that Brent is right; she's our new mascot! :2thumbs:

her name is Zoey. vet called today & said her sutures are looking great & that she did try to walk about 10 feet today then collasped from still being too weak. other than that said she looking good & shld heal nicely.

thanks for all the encouraging words & stories from others that have similar things happen to your pets. (fur family members)

Sorry to see your dog was having trouble, pesky snakes!!!!! I hope she recovers fully and quickly so she can begin therapy. I'm sure she is loved by all your family and that will help
her recovery too. Good luck!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

We have three "Giant Schnauzers" at 120#s. Rattlesnake bites here are a real concern in Tucson AZ. Anti snake vials can run as much as $20,000 depending on how much is needed and how big the dog is. This includes hospitalization. Believe it or not it is against the law to kill a rattlesnake here as they are protected. Hell we and our pets need the protection. Needless to say many laws are broken here.

Oh by the way "Good Morning". Hope your furry family member comes through this ordeal as well as can be expected.

Jack

good morning to each & all & thanks for all the support & comments, vet called & said she is doing as well as to be expected. she did walk about 30 ft today before laying down to rest due to tired.
so its getting longer distances little by little.
she may get to come home by Friday

:D Got a few custom sets of matching belts and boots?? :2thumbs:
:agree: with you; people first; "crawlies" second!

Good morning all!!!! :agree: If it can kill you and you are threatened, it is a goner!!!! Now, I would let a Black Snake pass, but venomous snakes are not going to get a pass.:spyder:

Fifty (yes fifty) degrees in Chugiak AK this AM. The Chinook winds are blowing hard, my driveway is down to ice covered gravel again, and there are green spots showing on the lawn. My local road is a solid mass of ice--so no :ani29: rides in the forseeable future.

A crazy winter indeed. :yes:

We got our first ( White Fungus snow) snow storm last night (started around 12:00 midnight to current) We had snow, sleet, freezing rain. We got about 5-7 inches of snow. Northern part of the state ( Vermont ) got more snow.

Any way " Sorry I missed saying good morning, I will say Good Evening! Deanna

:agree: They're ill-tempered and have a mean disposition... But if you just pick them up, and give them a good toss; they get the message! :2thumbs:

I missed the morning, out running errands all day. I hope everyone had a great day! It rained here off and on and the temperature was only in the mid-50's. Got used to the 70° days!
Oh well, it is Winter.
Y'all be safe out there!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

At our summer home in the White Mountains, Show Low AZ. Presently 16*----Brrrrrrrr! Not used to this. Just found out one of my Giant Schnauzers has cancer again on his back foot. First time was on the front foot and we had to remove part of it. Send "Max" some doggie prayers if you could.
