The concrete porch on the "back" of our house had been deteriorating for years, and the time finally came to tear it out, and replace it.
Of course; a rotting sill-plate was uncovered...
She doesn't deal well with change... I'm not sure if I can keep avoiding the inevitable!

Just make sure they put a barrier between the new sill and the concrete.

:agree: . . . concrete wicks moisture right into the wood . . . which attracts all sorts of wood-eating critters, from molds to carpenter ants . . . and concrete porches seem to ALWAYS settle . . . so much weight and no one ever seems to put deep enough or big enough footers! :banghead:
