We took two days--- never hit any rain-- staying at the Red Roof Inn on Ski Mountain Road.

We'll be down at Smoky's tonight (and most nights!).

The trip was very good until I went into limp mode about 20 miles from the RRI. Did the 3-key-turn thing and it went away....but so did all of my lights except my headlights. Firefly has his multi-meter with him and determined I had 2 blown fuses. Replaced them and all is back to normal.

I suspect the fuses blew due to my trailer wiring. I got a trailer right before the trip and wired it myself. All was well for 600+ miles until that episode. I'm thinking I chafed a wire somewhere, so I will track that down tomorrow.

For now, the trailer is parked...which was the plan all along. The Spyder is back to its superb self! :thumbup:

The trailer was a kit that I put together for $400 and it is awesome! It holds a lot and all 4 of us had things in it. I was surprised that, with an extra ~300 pounds being towed, that I only took a 1 mpg hit! Nice!!! :2thumbs:

So...where are all the other SpyderLovers?!

We started are trip yesterday pulling into Newton last night. We headed out this morning to Lamont's and then into Maggie Valley staying at Waters Edge RV park. We will be heading out of Maggie in the morning going through Cherokee and then into Gatlinburg. We should be pulling in around dinner time and would really look forward to meeting other Spyder Ryders!
