• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The future is here

Exactly what I was thinking. Loud incoming and sitting ducks. They don't have any weaponry that can be deployed until they land. If I was doing something illegal, I don't think I'd be sitting dead in the water with a stable, stationary landing platform. It looks like you could simply out-run and probably out-last those propulsion units. So, those guys would have the choice to turn back with at least as much juice as it took to get there. Or go down in the water. I hope those things float!

Sitting Ducks anyone?

But if the targets were deaf, they would never hear them coming!:yikes:

And Blind, maybe. Crooks, mercenaries and terrorists never set a watch. Right?

Nice tech. And I can see some valid uses. But interdiction on a hostile target? I think I'd let others go for that job. Or wear a boatload of Kevlar!

Maybe a very dark night, with totally quiet equipment and stealth backup racing in for assistance.
They may take out a few of the bad guys on deck but the rest of the crew might get them... sacrificial lambs.
Would be bad to take a hit and have holes punched in whatever float device they may be wearing... even if the guy didn't get hit the weight of all the equipment would take him down fast.

Once they remove the bulkiness, it will be great to go to the grocery store without worrying about parking.

That would be fun. Imagine viewing the Grand Canyon from the vantage point of a drone. Epic

That would be awesome!

I've managed to take the airplane ride several times, twice before they put the rule in that the pilot had to stay x feet above the rim. I have never seen a picture that did it justice. And every time it left me wanting more.
