There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The Fun Poll Results

So a few weeks ago I started some polls regarding the RT series. Many people voted. It was never meant to be scientific or crazy accurate, just seeing how Spyderlovers owners / riders "think". There were several topics. Some I chose just for general info, others were focused on modifications. No doubt I could have made 100 polls and still never covered every item. Some folks complained about answers not being specific enough, others did not, again it was more a fun let's see how this stacks up thing.

Honestly, many of the totals were not what I was expecting. From reading posts here, I expected certain mods to be far more popular than poll results showed.

So, without further ado.....drum roll please.

The typical Spyder RT series owner / rider comes from the Midwest USA, rides a 1330 triple cylinder machine (many voted indicated previous owners of V twins upgraded), rides on stock Kenda tires on all three wheels, has an aftermarket or optional seat, prefers a stock exhaust system, does not run a drive belt tensioner, and typically is a male driver that rides with a passenger.

As I mentioned, some of the results were very very close in percentage, others were kind of far apart. Below are the links to open the topics if you care to see how close some results were. Have Fun, and no complaining...

POLL WHERE MEMBERS LIVE

Paul concerning where most of the members reside I beg to differ with your analysis of the Totals .... basically you broke the US into 3 regions East , Middle, and West ( plus everywhere else ) .... You say the Middle is where most reside = 105 , but your poll says the East has 158 , so I think that is where most reside ....... thank you for the polls ............. Mike

Verrry Interesting!! Thanks for making the effort Paul!

I think it's worthy of note that most of those polls got well over 100 respondents, some attracting well over 200; EXCEPT for the 'which engine' poll on the Triple or V-Twin RT series - that one only attracted responses from 52 people!! So obviously we really don't care much WHAT it is that we ryde, just that we DO ryde!! :ohyea: :2thumbs:

Oh, and it's also probably worth noting that according to the tires poll, just over 60% of the more than 120 respondents there opted for aftermarket tires somewhere on their Spyder!! :lecturef_smilie: ;)

But regardless of what spin you care to put on how to interpret the results, it's still all verrry interrresting, innit?! :firstplace:

Thanks Bob. It was not that involved to do and honestly had results that differed from what I expected.

I used common regions for the USA. Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest, and Southwest.

You might be trying to lump the numbers into three regions.

Mike you are right as always, replies like yours sure take any fun out of it. To satisfy you I can delete all of it if you prefer. Just say the word and it is gone.

The people from those states may have chosen the best of the choices offered, they know where they live. I did see a reply during the poll from Akspyderman and he chose Northwest since I did not specify Alaska or Hawaii. I may have forgotten places like Puerto Rico too.

Don't worry, Mike... if this was a poll about snowmobiling: the Northeast would have been better represented!
Besides: it wasn't a contest anyway! :D
