the finished product and now waiting on nice weather

so today i went out to the bike with a dremel and a cutting wheel and i cut all the plastic shroud covering the radiator intake and by the engine so that with the new vents the air can pass trough and go straight to the engine to help cooling and i forgot to take a picture of it, but will get one later and post it on this post. also you will see from the pictures the inside of the top vents are painted flat black you you don't see any of the yellow underneath them. it has been a long project but only because i was winter lazy and didn't have any rush to finish it. if you notice on the right side bottom vent both the top and bottom vents where the heat came out of are now covered with yellow covers so that is the reason the plastic shroud had to be cut.

looks good but while you have the time I'd go ahead and wrap the pipes as well. couldn't hurt and it shouldn't cost you more than $100. cheap insurance

if brp wants to wrap the pipes and tank than i will let them do the work and pay for it, to be honest i have done enough to try and fix their problem.

I am also in the club where I do not feel that the customer should have to make expensive alterations to a machine that is sold to the public--in order to make it rideable--in some situations. I believe that the legal people call that an "implied warranty of fitness".

Well there I go again, no free test rydes for me. Not everyone has experienced the heat problems, but there are enough people out there to convince me that the problem is still lurking.

bob i get what you are saying. i did my best to help the heat problem on my foot and with the two block off plates and the plastic cut out for more air to go through the engine i hope it works for me. but i am hoping that BRP is still trying to find a way to clear up the problem and i also hope that don't say to me that with what i have done and the way the bike was designed that they will NOT do anything to my bike because i altered it. because that's when i will blow a few gaskets. and like you said time will tell
