• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My black Spyder RT_S SE5 PE#813 has arrived 3 weeks ago. I was in California when my dealer called to let me know my Spyder was in Kamloops. Couldn't wait to get back home! It took 2 days, the dealer and I to put it together. I added heated seat, an extra accessorie plug, 2 cromed warthog on the fenders, the wiring and the hitch. We put about 75 kms on the Spyder at the end of the day today! It was AWESOME!!! Totally thrilled, even better than what I had expected! Big thanks to the people at RTR Performance in Kamloops for their great help: Craig, Don and Les for the excellent service!:yes::2thumbs:

Is there a difference between the PE RT S and the regular ones?
I am a new owner of a plain old RT S and I'm wondering what I'm missing out on.

As I understand, the PE includes the special panel on the front of the saddle. I'm sure you've seen plenty of them on the forum. They also came with an iPod that has the Spyder RT-S PE logo on it. Also, if you ordered the RT-S PE & Trailer together, you'd get a sticker that is placed on the trailer that identifies it by you PE#, plus a leather jacket.

All this should be at no additional cost.

They offered these for a limited time and also had a 1500 unit cutoff.

Info on heated seat and warthog significance

I purchased the heated seat pad kit on the internet. I used the same kit as they do for vehicles, it came with 2 pads (seat & back) and the wiring with the switch. We installed the pads on the driver and passenger seat. We installed the switch on the dash.

As for the warthog, we always had a good luck with our Harley, our warthog was our lucky charm and become our trademark in the Harley group. We have a big warthog head as a center piece in our living room above our fireplace for years. We hope our Spyder will treat us as good as our Harley!

Would like more information on the heated seat pad. Do you have a link or brand name that I could google?
Thanks!

Nice job, sounds like you knew what you wanted and executed the plan swiftly. Enjoy your new ride. :2thumbs: V.T.C. has some really cool running boards, top vents and a rear wing with lights for the RT, check them out.

I saw the seats and thought of my oldest brother. I met him at his house and pulling into the driveway, he was sweating bullets. The temp outside was in the low 90s and humid. After leaving his part time job, he started his new Grand Prix and thought he hit just the a/c button. He also hit the button to heat the seat. He drove 16 miles not knowing and thought he was coming down with something.:roflblack:
