There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The big fight

the 4th 3 wheeler

as my title states 4 three wheelers 1st a harley--too big and bulky plus the vibration kept me busy tightening everything-no thanks. next was a show bike honda trike 32k in 2007 hard to steer but got lots of thums up for the cobault blue and chrome. next was a suzuki boulevard which i really liked until i test drove the RT by far the ride, steering, stability, comfort, safety, wind comfort, and sherr fund, out shined them all. happy spyder rider capt jim.

I highly recommend taking the trike riding course. I took one when I was considering triking my Valk. I went right out and bought a Spyder. I had 35 years and a couple of MSF classes -

No regrets, and I'm on my second Spyder (do still have the Valk tho… :) )

Steve,
In spite of some guys getting a bit jumpy here... it is of course your money & your decision... I too, wish you well and I'd like to see some pics of the 'Wing when it's on three wheels.
Hey, we're all gonna be on three, so why get into an argument over where they need to be?

Well put Bob, I looked at the 1800 trikes and they are sharp looking and very comfortable. Limited funds and I knew I wouldn't be happy with an older Goldwing put me in the direction of the Spyder RTS and I have not regreted my decision. Good luck on yours. Ryde safe Bill

Former GW owner

To trike my '05 GW, 60,000 miles, it was going to cost $12,000 +/_ a few hundred. I decided to trade for a RT that offered newer safety features and a safer front wheel technically improved, computerized safety VSS system, ABS brakes, more storage, much smoother ride vehicle. After one month, no regrets. My wing was great, my RT is great. I think I made the right decision for the same money.:chat:

I don't think you were ever gonna buy an RT, your too heavy into the goldwing thing, Your middle name is " need more input" I believe .

I'm not making this stuff up http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3106918

Now lets see the difference between the base RT and the full blown RTS is like $21,399 to $ 25,399 Thats 4k, You were gonna build your own trailer perhaps so that would have covered possibly the cost difference.

I also think you should give props to fencepost from SPYDERLOVERS forum for this too.
I see your kit is gonna be delivered tomorrow...................see ya :barf:troll.....the big fight in my head.....:D.right, sure you mean big fight in your bank account, which I am still confused about. I really think you couldn't get back what you invested in your GW to get a SpYder

Thats ok, BRP will be making these for years to come.

So why did I go down to the honda shop and take a demo ride? I also had them do the paperwork with real numbers on it. Came out that with my trade I was going to owe $9200.00 (I didn't want to owe that much). I bought my wing two or so years ago and they did offer me the same money on trade that I paid for it two years ago. No problem there. There's only two things I don't like about the spyder, personally I think the safety features suck and the other thing is I really don't want a key that's going to cost me $50.00 to $150.00 to duplicate. Everything else with the spyder was fine. Of course if you have never owned a goldwing you can't possibly know why I decided the kit was the better option for me. I really like the fact I can install another five gallon tank with electric pump. Kits in the garage, just can't open it till Christmas... Goldwing/spyder... probably can't go wrong with either one (except for the occasional lemon). OH ya I bought the raked triple tree to go with it.

I'm saving at least a couple grand by doing the install myself.

Excellent post. Spyder or wing it's all fun.

Well, if dude wants to trike out his wing, then so be it. I have done some looking around and a new conversion will run 32K plus - 25K for older models in OK condition.

For my money, I want the Y configuration. I reckon that's why I own a couple of Spyders! :roflblack: But that's just me and my taste, and I'm an RS guy. I like the sport/performance aspect of the experience. Oviously the man is attached to his wing and I still think that's going to be an interesting project. I do wonder if the gentleman has had the oppurtunity to ride an RT to see what it's like? At least then he could say he gave it a shot.

But the choice has been made, so I wish hime well with the project.

Sure did.
