• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The bells are finally gone!!!!

It's like Christmas. I enjoy it while it's here but don't expect it to last all year long. I'll be fine. Today I'm hoping for the snow they keep promising. I'll probably be disappointed again.

The weather man is the only one I know who can be wrong most of the time and still get paid for it. Well... Maybe politicians too. But we're not allowed to go there so I won't.

My brother-in-law's got three or four inches of snow in his yard in Cobbly Knob!!! Here I am wearing my knees out praying for snow and you guys are getting it!!!

No snow in sight here in the land of snow and ski resorts. Going to be a rough year for the skiers. I do miss the bells, but I realize there is a time for everything.

White, lumpy rain.

Cold, don't forget that.

It is interesting how different things affect different people. Our cat was sitting on my lap when I first typed something and the bells unexpectedly accompanied my typing. Unfortunately, the high pitch triggered my cat who leapt in the air, leaving a couple of scratches in my legs (it’s shorts weather out here in Oz) I would be happy not to have that happen again, but I did like the bells, as do most others, who would not have experienced what I did.

That’s why I usually try to take a walk in “someone else’s shoes” before I assume I know everything about them.

Huh! Well I'll be!!

I thought the reason you 'walked a mile in someone else's shoes' was so that by the time you had:

  • you were a mile away from them;
  • you were the only one with shoes on; and
  • they'd never stand any chance of catching up with you by then!?! 😆

Learn something new every day, don'tcha?!

Let me see if I can get you what you are wanting.

Might take a little testing .......

Click the square for your snow. Works summer and winter.
Snow pictures are pretty, but I don't want any more of the real thing.
Couple of months in Korea during the winter was enough to last me a life time.

What is snow?
Snow is what we ski on, ride our snowmobiles on from Jan. to Feb( depending on how much we get), snowshoe on, X-Country ski, the snow brings in Extra $ into the state for the Hotels/ Motels, restaurants, convenience stores, job security for the groomers for the snowmobile trails, and snowplow drivers, it is good for Maple Sugar Makers here in Vermont( off topic, Vermont produces the most of the Maple Sugar).

That would be great as long as they did ding dong!! In the morning, I sit in my chair with my computer in my lap and do my morning computer stuff with my ear buds in, so I don't disturb the bride doing her morning thing! I suppose I could turn them off, until I watch a video but that would take another key stroke!! :p Great Idea anyway Deanna, maybe when the bells come back, they will flash instead of ding dong, but if I was a betting man, they will come back like the hunch back of multiatom!!:cautious:
