Congratulations on acquiring Peanut, a very elegant machine. You'll soon get the hang of the gear change and how to keep it smooth.
I did have a thought about why your gear change may feel rough. The bike is four years old and has only done relatively few miles in that time.
I'm thinking that an oil/filter change may well be beneficial (certainly won't do any harm) as oil that's ageing doesn't work as well as fresh oil and
that oil could be two or more years old. Just a thought. Also when it's being serviced in your local shop the tech guy can check out it's history on the computer.
