The 2nd Annual Hill County Spyder Ride

My husband is riding a Valkyrie...bring it on the Kawasaki...the weather will be perfect

This is shaping up to be a fun weekend. Quick question, though. Would the community be open to one more 2-wheeler?

I'm already registered under RedMaverick. I was originally thinking about renting a Spyder so I could ride with my parents, but I just read through the thread and saw how open and friendly everyone was regarding the Harley guy attending. Now I'm thinking about just riding by Kawasaki in, if no one opposes. :doorag:

Cheers....

I'll only be able to make the Saturday ride. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you this Saturday.
I'm a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. If anyone would like to have their bike blessed before the ride, look for me.
I'll be in a long sleeve Black shirt w/ a gold CMA logo on the back.:)

Here is a couple of numbers we must have, but I hope nobody needs them.

Veteren Towing- ask for Glen, 830-816-5595

Wide Open Transport- ask for Frank, 210-517-8002

Heading out from the North Dallas area

My wife and I are heading out from the North Dallas area Friday morning around 8:30ish a.m. to the Hill Country. We are taking the scenic route with some stops at a couple recommended burger joints. If anyone is interested in joining us for the ride let us know and we can meet up. Some of the stops include Glen rose, Cranfills Gap, Lukenbach, Bend, Sisterdale with the final destination being Boerne. Look forward to seeing everyone, Ryde safe.

bearings

just PMd you I have some bearings I bought and didnt need. Will bring them when we leave tonight for Boerne we're at teh Fairview

We are not going to be able to make it. Was changing my rear tire and found a bad bearing. Hard to believe, but out of three dealers within a hundred miles of me right now, none have the bearings or seals in stock. I had called San Angelo this morning to check on the parts I wanted, they took down all the numbers and said that they would save the list so it would be all ready to go if I wanted them. Ran down in the car and the parts guy looked up the list quoted me the price and then said, they will be in next Wednesday. Ordered through Gearhead and with shipping it is $20 cheaper and may even be here faster.

Hope y'all all have fun.

DPS

Spyder has been in the shop for three weeks getting DPS changed thought it would be out a long time ago don't know if I will have it by Saturday, WTH?????

Made it to Fairfield suites stopped by Coyote before they closed they say my belt ate a rock EEK! Why it keeps creeping to the flange but oughta be able to ride this weekend after they adjust/ inspect it. Apparently it's a tad tight and rock did some damage awhile back. And extended warranty probably won't cover it.

A friend sent this to me to be held on Saturday and Sunday at Luckenbach. Could be interesting.

Don’t forget that the Harvest Classic is going on at Luckenbach. Some of you might want to stop by there and see all the cool old bikes on display. That’s where I’m headed, so you guys be safe!

I wish to thank Charles Wilson, Daryl Ingram and Coyote Powersports of Boerne, TX for putting together a very successful Spyder rally. On Friday Daryl and Charles led the group to Blanco, Luckenbach, Comfort, Bandera and back to Coyote for a nice BBQ supper. On Saturday, after a catered breakfast, about 50 Spyders headed to Leakey and stopped at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop for PR and lunch. Then on to the Three Sisters (FM 335,336 and 337) with lots of steep hills and sharp curves. We had perfect weather both days....all went well and again, thanks for a great weekend.

My wife and I had our fist visit to a Spyder get together on Friday night (17th). I'm saving up to buy an RT-S and I thought this would be a great opportunity to ask questions and make new friends. We had a great time, met a lot of nice people and I got some great information. I'm looking forward to getting my first Spyder and taking some road trips and seeing everyone again.

Had fun good to see everyone again from last year and new folks many thanks to Coyote Powersports for excellent dinner Friday night and Saturday morning
