• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That was almost real bad

Learn from my mistakes :yikes:

The text in the picture is too small to read but the jest of it was I was removing the mat from under the pump and it lifted the peddle and let down the lift table on my leg. There was no air hooked to it at the time and it was just low enough that the safety bar was not on, I couldn't lift it back up. Got a knot on my leg but no broken bones. I got lucky or it's true that God looks after stupid people (sometimes):opps:

Lamont ... you are FAR from stupid -- so please don't refer to yourself in those terms! EVERYBODY makes mistakes sometimes ... just fortunate that this one turned out okay (relatively).

Be safe ... Ann

Years ago when we first started dating the GF helped me install a ceiling fan in our bedroom.

If you've never installed a ceiling fan, they can be heavy as :cus:, and awkward to wire while standing atop a ladder.

GF is spotting me, but she steps away from the ladder for only a moment... just long enough for me to lose my balance.

Luckily, I managed to catch myself from falling AND dropping the fan (which at that particular moment would have yanked every last wire out of the ceiling).

However, the lesson was learned, and I obtained a great phrase to share with the GF whenever similar moments occur:

"Never step away from the ladder."

Slow down, stop, look before you leap, safety first, folks!

:yikes: No major harm; so no foul...
:lecturef_smilie: But don't do it again, or Bruiser will have to feature you in a "Tool Time" segment...

Dang Bro. That was scarey. Glad you weren't pinned. Compost happens. I know you're mad at yourself but don't beat yourself up too bad.

Years ago when we first started dating the GF helped me install a ceiling fan in our bedroom.......!

Since we are telling ceiling fan and girlfriend stories.....

Years ago, I was installing a ceiling fan. I have a habit of taking shortcuts and this case was no different. I merely turned the wall switch off instead of turning off the breaker. So, I'm up on a ladder and was just twisting the wires together when my wife walks into the room. Noticing how dimly lit the room was and that I was up on the ladder obviously doing some "work", my very generous wife says "Need some light" as she flipped on the switch.

All these years later, I'm still not convinced that was an accident.

Glad to hear the outcome was good. Had a jack slip when I was changing tires on my Tribeca a few years back. Didn't know that I was so fast, but got out of the way just in time. I sure felt that someone was looking out for me. No one home but me at the time and would have spent the day under the car or worse.

Glad you are ok!, So from this happening, what would or will you do differently when removing the mat next time? Make sure leg out of way or that safety devices are in place, or both:dontknow:

Lamont

You've taught us many things but this????????:yikes: Is a what NOT to do moment. :lecturef_smilie: Glad you're okay and no broken bones.

Ooops!!

Ya know Lamont us old hands occasionally need a reminder that we're still
fallible, I think this may just have been your turn, mate!
Delighted that you're OK.
Umm......How did you escape?
