• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That time of year for Spyder thoughts.

OK, it is now that time of year for us upper midwest riders to have Spyders on the brain 782823_29ef_1024x2000.jpg.
Most of the snow is gone now, and we should be able to get out to ride. Only problem is still snow in forecast for later this week. It is driving me crazy. Still lots of road salt / sand on the roads, just waiting for a good rain to wash them off, and here comes more:gaah:

What..!!

you've got to be kidding..more snow in your forecast..where is this global warming..?? Really hope it blows by and you can get going..:pray::gaah:

This is indeed the year of the winter that will not go away. Similar situation here in Alaska. They are predicting a combo of rain/snow showers again for Tue, Wed, and Thursday. Daily highs in the low 40's and evening temps in the low 30's. The snow mix will happen based on what time of the day the precipitation happens. The good side--if we get any snow it will most likely melt in a day or two.

The last couple weekends we were out and about on the Spyders. We put over 400 miles on in two weekends, just bumming around. The weather was sunny and the sky blue with temps in the mid 40's. Because all of the snow on the ground, the wind was bone chilling and it felt like we were driving around in a walk in freezer. The temps "felt" like we were driving in the mid 20's. It was more endurance than enjoyment--but we did it and survived.

Just waiting for a day when it will be in the 50's and the air will actually feel warm and like spring.:pray:

Two weekends ago it was Snowing at a rate of 1.5 inch an hour, and was about 32°. This past weekend was 70° F however the roads are still major salt covered so did not get out. Wed - Friday is supposed to be in the low 40's and Rain / Sleet / Snow mix.
Just more waiting I guess. Maybe I should start Farkeling while I wait. I was thinking about the CALSI windshield.

I feel your pain! I think it is finally over here, but there is still lots on the ground. hope to be riding in a week, two at the latest!

Yeah I also got cabin fever, but I'll be leaving Philly on Friday on my ST and heading to Florida. My wife & mother will be flying down; I'll be heading west to I-81 and ride the entire Blue Ridge that ride east. I've been making this same trip & route every year for 5 years on my Harley, so this will surely make a good comparision ride.

And snow on May 2nd

So the snow has started, IMG_20130502_120739.jpg.
Surrounding area's have reported upto 15" of snow. Here in Eastern MN, Western WI we may only see upto 6", but back to square one getting the salt, and sand off the roads. Can not believe this is happening on May 2nd. We are also snowmobiliers so I normaly love snow, but this is bike time:dontknow: People were still snowmobiling in 4 foot remaining snow in Upper Penisula, MI last weekend. We had temps at 85° on Tuesday.
Must be global warming effect :roflblack:
