• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks!

Thank you all.

I am thankful for...

:) I agree with DD, and I thank him for starting a new kind of list.

The lovely bride and I are thankful for the folks here who've responded to my silly posts, those who've offered advice, those who we've actually met in MA, NY, VT, FL and downtown Canada, those we've ridden with, those we've tried to ride with, those we've eaten a meal with, those who've bought our old accessories from us, those who've toured the BRP factory and Bombardier Museum with us, those who sold us their old accessories, those who've patiently explained their products to us, those who've complimented us when we've posted a new grainy celphone photo with some silly doo-dad slapped on (or peeled off) old PE #2929, those who've online-chatted with us late on a Saturday night, those who we've tried to get to restore our old dirtbike, those who we've promised to meet in Niagara Falls before the snow flies (flew), those who told us we were riding our brakes 'cause they were stuck behind us for miles, those who said "sure, that sounds like a good idea" when we said (OK, it was just me who said) we were putting studded snow tires on the Spyder and driving it all year long, those who did not say our pipe was too loud, those who gave us painting advice, those who asked to sit on our Spyder to try our bar risers or highway pegs or backrest even when they had a way-more-tricked-out Spyder parked nearby, those who sent us free stuff.

To all these, and to all those who serve people and protect people and are away from their families, Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks to all the GREAT folks here, for all your inspiration and support throughout the year!

Thanks to Lamont for being a real friend!

Thanks to my "little brother" Jody for being a "mini me."

Thanks to my wife for putting up with me having to run to the shop to "check out a new idea I just had" at all hours of the day and night.

Thanks to all our men and women in the armed forces that allow us to have the freedom to do what we call "the American way of life" by their dailly sacrifice.

Thank you one and all! It is people like you that make the world a better place.

There are too many things to list, but most of all I am thankful for:
...the fine friends here on SpyderLovers,
...Lamont and his initiative and hard work to create and run this site for all of us to use,
...BRP for inventing the machine that got my wife on wheels at long last (and is a blast for me to steal),
...and for the prosperity that has allowed us all to get Spyders in the first place.

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all!

-Scotty

Well my son showed up last night unannounced and that was a great blessing. He's been in the Marines for 3.5 years now.

That meant we needed more food so I rode the Spyder into town and picked up a ham and brought it home. That was a blessing.

I got the wrong ham so I had to ride the Spyder into town again and get a new one and I was now running out of time so I "had" to ride really fast. That was a blessing.

We had a great meal with my two boys and some long time friends and afterward watched the Pink Panther. That was a blessing.

I just wokeup from my nap to get caught up on my emails and was only cussed out twice from the Goldwing guys for not getting them on to the new board. That was a blessing.

Life is good. :doorag:

Oh and I love you guys :spyder:nojoke:doorag:

I know I am a day late but I am so thankful for so many things. God has blessed us dearly and I try to remember to thank him everyday. I am so very thankful for this spyderlovers community and all the friendships we have made here. Some of you we have met in person and others just on line but the friendship is just as real. I am so thankful that we are all able to share both spyder and personal issues here and for all the help and support. I ask the Lords blessing on each and every one of you.
