• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for helping me out (even if you didn't know you were)now for your opinion

I'm finally the proud owner of a 2012 RT-S and thanks to all:bowdown: of you for the education, I've been following this forum for a couple of years now reading and learning the pros and cons of the spyder and after a couple of test drives (one to sell me one to sell the wife she was the important one) the pros won:clap:. You all talked up the Bajaron bar up so great I've bought one to have the dealer install (he talked to Ron said it was so easy they would do it FREE):yes:and I'm having a second iphone plug installed at the handle bars for the Leader iphone holder. now i'd like your opinion about highway pegs vs floorboards I have kinda big feet (13s) and I think one or the other would increase leg and foot comfort and my wonderful wife gave me the option and I'm struggling with the choice:banghead: between Lamonsters Hiway peg or a floorboard either the Seal board or the web board. Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks Again

Congrats on your new ride!! I am looking at floor boards as well and figured I would look at them at spyderfest before i buy.

Welcome..!!

:congrats: :welcome: ;) Best I can do is welcome you. The rest of these guys will do the suggesting. My wife and I both ryde with the stock pegs...good luck....

:welcome: :congrats: on the new ryde! I'm also considering Seal or Web Boards. Just going to have to wait until SF & get a good look at both!:doorag:

I like my Seal Floorboards.Never tried the Web boards. Seal's were an easy install and allow much more comfort, for me.

Did I miss some information?
I didn't see whether you bought the SM5 or SE5.
For the SE5, I'd go for floor boards.
For the SM5, I'd go for highway pegs. Unless you get a heel/toe shifter as well.

To be honest, for myself, I'm comfortable with the stock pegs.

hwy pegs

:welcome:GetAttachment.jpg Works for me I bought the Kewl metal set up and lost one of the floor boards in about 100 miles so I made this out of aluminum and had them powder coated.

This is probably a great suggestion, you will be able to look at all the different options.

Personaly, i went with the Seal Pups and the Lamont No Bad Vibes Highway Pegs, best of both worlds and real easy on the legs.

:congrats::welcome:, I found this forum by accident when I was looking for a spyder, without this forums help I wouldn't have bought mine. Great friendly, family board with tons of information and side order of humor.

Congrats on the new Spyder.

Seal Floorboards --- the best

I cannot imagine ryding without my Seals....they are awesome and I like to ryde ALOT. The only comparison I had was what Ms Spyder came stock with and then had John install my Seals at my first Spyderfest...have rated them as AWESOME since first putting my feet on them. And now he has the realllllly fancy lookers...but my original Seals get the job of leg/foot comfort covered..

:welcome: Glad that you finally took that final step into SpyderHood! :2thumbs:
"Seals versus Webs"? Tough call; but I love my ISCIs... (They offer some height-adjustability)

spyder stuff

:welcome: I started out with the scuff guards. Had Lamont's NBV'S installed at his BBQ and they sure have saved my legs from getting tired and cramped.

Sorry I forgot the Tranny I have the SE 5 Thanks

I originally installed Kewlmetal highway footpegs and they were great. Then I got Seal floorboards and they are (in my opinion) even bettor. Don't get me wrong I would recommend either one but for me I like the Seals best.
