• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you for all your Prayers

I just want to thank y'all for all the prayer's that was sent and we were amazed at the people who responded. Raptors Mom went through surgery fine and she was fine until about a day and a half. Then she went down so fast. She had a major heart attach and I am sorry to say that she pasted away on Oct 18th. We just wanted to thank y'all for all the support from the Spyder Nation but there is only one person who knows when it it is your time and that is Mr. Big Guy upstairs.

Again, thank y'all very much and this is to keep y'all updated.

Sincerely,

Death is something we must all face, but it is still not easy to deal with. Please accept Jennifer and my condolences.

It's me. I am home. I figured there was no need to start a whole new thread so I'll just use this one.

I want to start by letting you all know that there are no words to express the deep appreciation Kathy, myself and my whole family have for the prayers and support sent by this group during this most difficult time. You are a very special group of people and your prayers were heard and felt during the entire ordeal. My Mother was so touched when she heard about what you guys were doing for her.

She was not a well person and we were worried about this new breast cancer surgery, but she seemed to get through it so well we thought everything was going to be OK. As it turned out, this last surgery was more than she could stand, and on the third day of post-op her heart just gave out. There was just nothing I could do; she passed right before my eyes. That is something that will stay with me for a very long time.

But she passed in her home with family around her, not some cold hospital bed. This helps ease the pain somewhat. She was a wonderful woman and Mother and she is now in a much better place, free of all the pain and things of this world that had her down. This does not fill the hole in my heart right now; only time will do that. Services will be on 12 November, so there will be one more trip before we can finish things up. But that is just the process and what we have to do as adults when a loved one passes on.

The ride home was a difficult one; I didn’t want to leave my Dad yet but he is a proud man and just told us he needed some time alone, and I respect that. That’s how we are. My mind wandered on those long empty stretches of highway along the way and it was hard to stay focused. But Kathy was right behind me and 14 took good care of me and practically rode herself home. Hit a stretch of pretty nasty weather along the way but she just cruised through it.

Anyway, I don’t want to ramble so I’ll close by once again thanking all of you, my Spyder Brothers and Sisters for all of your prayers and support. It is an honor and a privilege to be associated with this group. My wish is that one day I will get the opportunity to meet some of you and hang out for a while. That will be a good day indeed. God bless you all.

Raptor, I am so sorry for your loss. You, Kathy, and your entire family, have my condolences as well as prayers for peace during this difficult time. I hope you can find comfort in the little things, such as her passing at home instead of the hospital, as most likely she would want you to do that. With time the gaping hole in your hearts will begin to heal, but her memories will stay with you forever.

I wish you all the very best, and please be careful when it is time to return to take care of the final arrangements as well.

Thank you all

Thanks to y'all for responding to this thread. We want y'all to know how much we appreciate it. We are doing our best to go day by day but we have to go back and have the memorial services in November which will be hard but we will get through it all. We just don't have the words to thank the Spyder Nation for gathering around us and responding.

Thank you so much!

Sorry to read about the passing, but at least she is in a better place.

I lost my dad back in May, so I know some of what you're going through. We will continue to pray for God to give you comfort. Your notes tell me that you you are a good team, and having that caring partner really helps. Godspeed and keep you both.

so sorry to hear of your loss, feel better soon, good family helps. Be extra careful riding in times like these, as your mind is on other things, she is at peace now, ride safe
