There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A cautionary tale for sure, one of my biggest fears is being rear ended. I always try to leave a gap between me and the vehicle stopped ahead of me to give myself some maneuvering room, I'm always wathching me 6 when stopping at a light of such. Glad you are ok, hope the Spyder is salvageable.

I am so glad that you are okay after that. The configuration of the :spyder2: surely saved you from worse.
As others have mentioned, the :ani29: can be replaced. Glad to hear you are not going to let the incident with the distracted driver deter you from continued rydeing.
I also believe that the penalties should be much more severe for distracted driving (texting and cell phone use) in particular. I also hope the driver is tagged for the bill. Not sure how that works in "no fault" states though.
It is getting scarry driving down the road to see almost every driver with a cell phone in their hands. We had a close call last Saturday and a lady using a cellphone almost drove directly into akspyderlady.
