• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Most normal ryders will not care to know, but was just curious myself to see, so was ryding along and thought i'd find out for myself. The RTS se5
tops out in first gear at 57 mph
Tops out in second at 73
Tops out in third at 91
I won't say what rpm it was, just that there was no more RPM's left.

Inquiring minds want to know

:ohyea:Hey Len, was this a 'stock' RT-S SE5 or one of your 'Performance' RTs:dontknow: and I think you forgot to mention a couple of gears :hun::rolleyes:

It was a stocker :-( and caught that did ya........ No comment on the others, let's just leave it at the first 3. honestly had never tried to see what top speed was in the lower gears before.

Thanks Len! I've kind of wondered about these types of things, but being a big chicken...

Can I have one to test "huligan way"?

Lol you all pretty much know the top 2 gears, I was just curious what it could do on the bottom end. Not bad for a bone stock bagged bike.... I will say this she was definatly turning some r's but the rotax boys say they like it ;-)

O and Ann..... We were abiding by most of the speedlimits.

That's funny Len, because when I was at SpyderFest earlier this year, I was testing my 2010 RT SM5 in 1st & 2nd. I didn't write it down so may be in error, but it seems like it was 62 MPH in 1st & 72 in 2nd. That was red-line on each.

But when you peg the RPM like that you are not correctly using the power band and some little ole antique GS will walk away from you.

Funny...

You cop to 91 and THEN get shy?
