There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Click on the username of the person you want to post a message to; 2nd option down the LH side is something like 'send a message'; click on that & it brings up the 'Post a Private Message' screen... Fill in the details, and hit Submit. If you get a reply, it'll appear as 'notification' up the top right alongside Welcome & your username - click on that & it'll take you to the list of all the notifications in your inbox, select the one you want to read & away you go - btw, if you want to make it just a little easier for anyone who may be reading your message or reply on a small screen device, it pays to delete all the copied/quoted info from the previous posts in the post a reply thread - that way they'll only get the latest post in the discussion/thread & won't hafta scroll thru everything else yet again to get to what you've said!
