• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why? Because I went ahead and bought the 2009 RS SE5 today. :D

I had "sudden bike sale" happen this morning. Guy called me at 9PM last night, wanted to come look at it on Monday. Called me back at 9AM this morning, said he found out his bank was open today, so could he come look at it this morning? He was here for less than 30 minutes total, including loading the bike in his trailer, and he gave me my asking price for the bike! :ohyea:

I'll pick the :spyder2: up on the day I had scheduled for the test ride, next Wednesday.

:2excited:

This is just sensational, Jo!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!

You will benefit by doing the exercises in the back of the owner's manual before you really hit the road ryding. I hope your dealer gives you a good orientation session on the Spyder too. You are really going to love not having to put your feet down! And though the Spyder does not lean, the ryder does. It's a "physical" ride in some ways. But, oh, so, enjoyable!!!!!! :congrats: again!! What color??

Silver and black. Not the color I wanted, but beggars can't be choosers, eh? ;)

I have two hours scheduled for orientation. Hope that's enough. Thanks for the tip about the exercises in the manual! Can't wait!

Come on ... it's not just silver. I believe it is Full moon silver!

Good point......and I bought it on Supermoon Day! Gotta be a sign!

there are lots of decals, decal kits, airbrush artists etc etc and lots of ideas on this site if you want to change up the look of your ride.
But yeah, could be an omen ... supposed to be the biggest full moon in 18 years.

I totally agree with this. Knowing where each of the the controls are without even having to look for them is very important. This is where the dealer orientation comes into play. You should also receive a DVD, which has wonderful training information on it. They actually illustrate many of the drills essential for safe riding. But you'll do great, I'm sure.

And :welcome: I'm excited for you!

first of all congrats.... i just got my spyder recently atfer saving up for 3 years..... i know how it is to have a deal go smooth...

now to my fellow bull terrier lover, DynamoBT. i have to great bull terriers.... Roscoe and stewie. they are my two sons.

:congrats: on cancelling the test ride.:D I loved my Silver Moon GS. It is a good idea to find a large open area to practice and hone your operating skills. I feel that it gives you more confidence and less "drama" in your life.

Not to threadjack. But. I have two bullies also. Mother and son. Sylvie is a CH. Bugsy is a BISS, CH ROM. Both have their TT certification. You know, we are crazy to have these dogs don't you?? I'm just back from a week's vacation away from them. It's back to looney tunes time. Bugsy sure does keep us on our toes! Sylive is 10, Bugs is 6. Hard to think of it, but I think these two will be our last BT's. We need something smaller and less full of themselves!! I know you enjoy yours!! They are endearing!
End of threadjack.

I'm very very happy that you will be back ryding in the wind, Jo!!! I know you've missed it. I hope you enjoy the Spyder very much!! It's "different". But it grows on you once you are really comfortable on it.

I hope to do just that. There's an elementary school with a decent sized paved parking lot not too far from my house. It should be empty after about 4PM on weekdays and all day on weekends and will be a good place to practice and hone!

(Private joke: Marilyn, I may actually do some figure-8s! ;) )
