• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

"Test Pilots Wanted" explanation from BRP

This just in from BRP.:doorag:

There's a lot of discussion on SpyderLovers.com regarding the package we sent which includes the "Test Pilots Wanted" plate. I think an explanation is in order.
We recently sent this package to nearly 37,000 people who test drove a Spyder from February 2007 to March 2009. This is from a database of test riders who completed the post-ride survey on site during the corporate demo tours at dealers and events. From this list, we deducted those who actually bought a unit. The purpose of the package was to encourage those who tried to consider actually purchasing a Spyder. In some cases, if the name and address on an owner's registration does not match exactly the name and address on the test ride database, some owners may have received the package.

That probably explains why dltang and myself didn't get one. Did they tell you if they are going to start acknowledging receipt of emails in general? That was my other gripe. :sour:

Sorry John, you are wrong this time.

Ha!

This time?!

When's the last time I wasn't?!

They didn't deduce who to send the plated to, they said they deducted those who where actually buyers. So they took them away.

Well, I may be wrong, Deb, but

a) I took a test ride.

2) I filled out a form.

c) I bought a Spyder.

4.1) I received a "Test Pilots Wanted" package.

So, I figger that I wasn't deducted.

Nor was I deduced. :dontknow:

In some cases, if the name and address on an owner's registration does not match exactly the name and address on the test ride database, some owners may have received the package.

So that may be it. My name matches the name of the guy on the registration. Exactly. :dontknow:

Well someone wasn't deducting properly. I took two test rides, got two packages with exactly the same name and address, which is exactly the name and address on my regristration.
