• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I heard it said that Politicians should be limited to just two terms:

One in Office...

And the other: In Prison! :gaah:

Don't forget, they get FREE healthcare and a pension FOR LIFE! How come we have to pay for healthcare & they don't? Because they voted it for themselves is why.:banghead::banghead:

It's funny how things like that work out; isn't it? :D

If you're referring to Congressmen and Senators that's not correct. They are under the same health insurance program all Federal Employees are. They do have one extra benefit. There is an in-house doctor in the capitol they can go to, but not their family members.

As far as retirement benefits they also are under the same requirements as all Feds, i.e., they do not get retirement benefits after only one term, other than what they contribute to the Federal version of a 401k program.

Disclaimer: I am a retired federal employee; 34 yrs total service.

The answer is very simple; you could have gone to work as a federal employee but you chose not to.
