• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Temp gauge and rain

Newbe here, Great site!
I have a few questions I was hoping I could get some feedback.

Just bought a 2013 RT-S last week and was wondering if the temp gauge drops to to stone cold while riding in the rain on other peoples machines? Goes back to normal/middle posistion as the rain clears.

It's in for the 600 mile check-up/oil change today and I noticed on this cold morning driving it in that the left heated handgrip was no where near as hot as the right, anyone else see this on there's?

Thank you in advance

Lou

Welcome..!!

Don't know about the 13's but the temp gauges have always been unreliable. For that matter so is the gas gauge. Many have disconnected them and installed other gauges like volt meter oil pressure. Once disconnected the temp and gas become digital on dash. As to heated grips have them check the installation, wiring etc. Enjoy your ryde..!! :ohyea:

:welcome: Mention the issues to the dealer at 600 miles. Temp gauge should be in the middle at normal operating temps. During rain, if you run into a real cold front, mine would go down to about a little below operating temperature, but not bottom out. The heated grips sould be similar not hot/cooler.

:welcome: Mention this to your dealer...
Mine cools off significatnly when riding in heavy rain... It should; since the heat in the radiator is being carried away more effectively! ;)

Thanks ALL, Dealer said that BRP said ;) temp drop is normal.
Found nothing wrong with the heated grips but worked properly when I drove it home, huh!

Hosed me for $236.00 for first service......

Also said they just found out about master cylinder melting problem after "I" mentioned it - Did not say not to drive it either, made them pull the tupperware to give me piece of mind to drive 21 miles back home.

I know it seemed high but $236.00 is not the worst hosing for a 600 mile service. There have been many here who would have jumped for joy if their bill was only $236.00. Do you know what their charge is for just an oil change?

Here in NY cost for me was $363.00. I was looking at my MC today and while removing the panel I noticed a missing grommet and screw on the right side. I will be calling dealer tomorrow about the missing items. I would have paid your price gladly!
