• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tearing apart the console gauge pod?

How do you disassemble the console/fairing pod thing? If you remove all screws holding the windshield and the screws that attach the mirror will that allow that upper plastic shell to be removed?

I did this when changing Head lights and once you have the Shield and mirrors off there are some clips on each side you depress with a screwdriver and it will pop off.

Thank you for the reply. So i assume they are located where those little notches are along each side? Does it snap back together easily? I'm also working on replacing the lights

I got a 5 or 6 page RS/RSS cowling/console disassembly manual (good pics) from Spyd1, when I was trying to swap out my headlight bulbs. Send me a PM with an e mail address (if you like) and I'll e mail you a copy of mine.

Well, for all of those that follow this thread..... You need to use a POINTED Awl or very very small phillips screwdriver. I was using a flat head screw driver. I got the top off but I think I fawked up the little plastic fingers on the upper console :banghead:
