• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you notice my avatar. That is a Cat, that is etched on the windshield of all my bikes, my dear departed Stella, There is a lady named Lori who is alway at Thunder beach and Myrtle Beach that does this. 5 or 6 years ago there was someone, usually more than one to etch windsnields at every rally, In the last couple of years she has been the only one I have found that does it. I've looked at a lot of rallys, even Sturgis. Lori does it with a Dremel tool.

Beautiful work

You can retire now, we will all line up at your door. Girlfriend loves dragons, would make a sweet present.

Very, very nice work...and a nice ad for the Dragon's Lair!

(I have a feeling you will be getting requests for work on shields, now...)
:agree::agree:Thats big biz at rallies :ohyea::2thumbs: Smylinacha wants to no if you do Toenails :gaah:

You are going to offer custom windshield designs for us, aren't you???

Please. Pretty please. Pretty please with ice cream on top.

You have real talent. We would love to show you off to everyone!!!

Nice Work!

I think the talent of tattoo artists is often not truly appreciated by the general public. This is a stellar example of just how much God-given talent and skill one of those artists has. Tat, if I were to have any more ink done, I would go to you! Great job.

Good point. Still you have my interest peaked. Apparently it is done, but I have never seen it, and yours looks awesome.

So whats the answer about it being done on the backside of the shield? Will it still show detail through?

I ask because I really like that idea, but I also find myself having to constantly wipe down the windscreen to get the bugs off. If the image was on the backside, the frontside would remain smooth for wiping down. It may also help prevent your art from getting chipped away from debris. I imagine a soft brush and soap will do fine getting the bugs off.

I have two bikes with engraved windshields, one has John Wayne on it and the other has an Indian (the bikes are Indians). The engraving looks as good as the day it was done 4 years ago. It's on the outside of the shield, the artist used a regular engraver and then rubbed paint into the lines and wiped the excess off. I've never had a problem with cleaning the shields or getting the bugs off. It doesn't affect see through either. I hope to get my SPYDER (red SM5) done as soon as I can find someone who does them. I had the other bikes done at a "woman's bike rally in PA". Everyone asks me where I had it done so I would think there would be good money to be made doing the engravings.:spyder2:

BTW, Dynamo love the bully avatar, I have a 65lb pure white female bully named "bunny"

If it is ok'd then I would be up for it. I have two Windshields and could send you one, use the other, then send you the other one. :2thumbs: Now the question is what images can we have put on. :D
