Tank Bag

I would like to get a tank bag for my F3. Has anyone installed an after market tank bag? I have seen some tank bags that are mounted to the gas cap by a bracket that screws onto the gas cap. Does anyone know of a product like that which will work on the F3?

Try Nelson Rigg they have a tank bag for the Spyder.

I am looking into tank bags as well right now. I think we will have more options now that we have a more traditional motorcycle style fuel tank. I am also looking into bags that are used on sport bags. I will post up what I find (and buy).

Twisted Throttle is a good place to start.
You could even use BMW but they are expensive but all very high quality.
After I pick up my F3 in a couple weeks I'll determine which one I want and will post results hopefully.
Wolfman Luggage makes some nice strap type bags very reasonable.

You could fairly easily adapt a Nelson Rigg bag .....if you added elastic straps with plastic or rubber hooks to what is sown onto the bottom of the bag.....that way you just un-clip it to put in gas.........Mike :thumbup:

I've got an RKA luggage tank bag that I had on my last bike. This is 7" wide. The tank bag probably can't get much wider without the stock handlebars hitting it at full throw. As it is, the cluster just kisses the bag. Since I wanted something a bit larger, I ordered a Nelson Rigg CL-1045 this morning. It is also 7" wide.

Just looked at that bag thanks to your post, and I agree that bag is awesome and it expands up to like 14 litres or so, great choice! It goes the short list of bags I will be buying, thanks for posting!

NOT ONE TO BE FOUND THAT LOOKED GOOD, OR WOULD FIT....
THEN ONE DAY I'M IN THE SPORTING GOOD DEPT. OF WALMARTS AND I FOUND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR... AND IT ONLY COST ME $14....

I'm looking at getting this set up when my F3 comes in. We had tried this system on a demo bike at the manufactures show in Toronto in Feb. The vendor didn't know what locking ring I would need so once I get my bike its an hour ryde or so to line up the right ring that will work with the BRP fuel cap.https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vwTezOOuKnc#t=15​
