• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tall Windshield hurt mileage

We also do this every fill up. About an extra half gallon. To avoid overfilling...I fill till it comes up to the ring, let it settle one time and refill to the ring. DONE.

Is this something we can safely do on the twins i.e. won't cause fuel to flow into the charcoal canister?

That is my method for both engines. Had a 998 until a month ago. Go very easy on the fill to the ring top off. Never had an issue with running it into the canister.

Larger windshield, we have the 27" Jurpck with flip I purchased that for the wife as she gets less buffeting as I never ride alone:( I have not noticed any reduction on fuel mileage we have stayed in the low 30 mpg since we have owned her. We dont cruise any more than 65mph

Focus more on your comfort while you drive. It won't matter if you get 2 miles a gallon more per tank if you're not comfortable. I have the larger windshield and it stopped the head buffeting I was experiencing. So, with my windshield, wife on board and pulling a trailer in a 25 mile an hour head wind traveling at 70 mph, my mpg is going to suffer (and I have a 2013). But I keep an eye on towns and gas stations and enjoy the ride.
