There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tall Riders

Any tall rider complaints with a spyder? I'm planning on purchasing a spyder in the next two weeks but it will be sight unseen since the closest dealer to me is several hours away. I just wondered if any tall riders had any problems with them? Thanks everyone!!!:spyder:

Don't know how tall you mean. I'm 6'0" and several here are taller. Feels fine to me, but I am used to the crouched seating position of a sport-tourer. I guess it all depends on how you are built and what you are used to. It's too bad you can't at least sit on one first.

Well, I'm 6'1"...tall but not too tall...no problems. I have the 1" risers...don't need or want higher but many here have gone with NMN's 3 or 4 inch risers...this would certainly help taller riders stay more upright. (I don't like to be upright on sharper turns, highway ramps, etc...) There are plenty of options out there. You'll be able to find something to maximize your comfort.

Thanks for the reply......I'm 6"3 so I just wanted to make sure people were satisfied with them..or wondered if anyone had to make any adjustments to them to be comfortable...:spyder:

6'8" here

Im 6'8" and have not had any issues so far. I've only had mine 2 weeks so not a lot of experience. I got a 1" riser and planning on getting a taller windshield. I do think I would like some other pegs for longer trips. So does my passenger. But I'm having a blast with mine - talk of the town, just as my dealer said it would be. :lecturef_smilie:

I am 6 feet 1 in and would definately recomend highway pegs. It is always nice to be able to stretch the legs out. I also went for the 1" brp riser just to make the riding position that much more comfortable for me.

If I may suggest, maybe someone close to you could drive over and let you at least sit on their Spyder. I would gladly do it, but I am in California! I am only 5'8" so I can't help you on tall people comfort!

I'm 6'1" and 240+. I have always had a posture problem and I'm not sure putting 3" risers or 3ft gooseneck handlebars will help permanently. Sitting in one position for a length of time will get to anyone's back. BTW, I'm riding stock and no major issues.

I'm 6'4" and I didn't have any issues riding the Spyder stock during my demo ride. When I ordered mine, I got the BRP 1" riser with it but I'm not sure if it was even necessary. I still have the 1" riser but no additional risers and I've been on a few long trips with no handlebar height issues. I did upgrade the stock seat to a Russell "Day Long" saddle. After 500 - 600 miles in a day on the stock seat, my butt would start to get sore. The second day of long riding, I would start to be uncomfortable within 200 -300 miles. The new seat feels great and this Friday I get my first long distance trial with it. I found that longer rides also require the ability to extend my legs every so often. I tried a set of the highway peg brackets like NoMagicNeon sells but I wasn't 100% comfortable with them. I've given those brackets to my wife for her Spyder and I now occasionally rest my legs on the two cowling pieces in front of the engine.
