• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Taking Spyder along

Opening is only 4'9" wide... still won't work. I've resigned myself to the fact that if I want to trailer, I'll need a 6x10 flatbed with a full width ramp.

Add me to the resignation-bullet-biters list :)
Thanks for all the advise.

Arntufun,
My wife and I fulltime in a 41' toyhauler. We do it for chasing work in the construction industry. We have used the toyhauler to move our Spyder, but now we have an enclosed cargo trailer for the Spyder that my wife pulls. We tend to stay in one spot for months on end. There are all kinds of people that fulltime for several different reasons. Generally speaking we stay in RV parks and not campgrounds. Where we are at now costs $190/month for full hook up. That does not include metered electric. We have stayed at parks that cost $680/month plus electric. There are more expensive ones out there but we are on the road to make and save money, not really into all the ammenities. We do occasionaly stay at campgrounds when between jobs. We have been in our current rig for almost four years now and have ran into many RVers that rarely come out of their rigs. It's really no different than any neighborhood in the USA. Some neighbors you see, some you don't. I never give it much thought anymore. Eveyone has different reasons for being at any given RV park/campground. Trailer Life has a forum dedicated to full time RVing if and when retirement rolls around and you need more info on residency, mail, prescriptions, etc...

fulltime RVer

Arntufun - pretty much the same answer as Yooper. The RV is my home so I'm not really camping. My kids say that I'm most happy when I'm parked somewhere within 50 miles of a Costco. Right now I'm in the Texas Hill Country at a "high-line" RV resort that runs close to $600/month plus electricity. Where I stay in the summer, north and west of Seattle, it runs about $100 less per month. Feel free to contact me by email if you have any more specific questions.

As to the question of my trailer being used without the car dolly - don't think it can be done as the weight on the car dolly is what brings the tongue weight down to the right amount. On the other hand, I did see a trailer such as mine that where the car dolly would be, the guy had a real heavy duty tool box across the full width of the car dolly area. So I guess it could be done but there should also be a less expensive way to carry the Spyder.
