• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Taking battery out, and leaving the parking brake off

Does anyone know if it will be a problem disconnecting the battery with the parking break off?

We are going to be storing the Spyder soon, and the place where we will be storing needs to be able move the bike if it is blocking a vehicle to be removed.

Will this cause any problems when the battery is put back in at springtime?

Thanks.

i have always used a battery tender. On my 2010 RS the battery still tested good after 5 years. The dealer where I bought mine puts battery tender pig tails on every spyder they sell.

Battery Tenders are made for storing batteries.

Ok, I will try this again.

The place where I am storing the bike wants the battery removed for the winter. I am NOT able to just plug in the battery tender. I have to remove the battery. This is why I was asking if there would be a problem when I put the battery back in in the springtime.

Ann,
We would love to move someplace warmer, and we will when we retire in 8 years. :D

Bscrive....Could you not remove the battery, take it home or to somewhere that you

can connect it to a Battery tender?
