There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Taking a pet and a passenger?

Is there way to take a small dog and a passenger? I am not seeing how safely. Maybe I am overlooking something?

I was thinking of the same... but the way a passenger has to "hang" on I cannot see my beagle being very safe nor comfortable!!!

I searched and only found the things for the passenger seat. Guess I will dig deeper.

Inspector Gadget offers (or at least offered) a rack for the top trunk... Tie your Missus to that and put the pooch in the seat behind you!
Oh! That won't work at all... :ohyea:

Yeah, not sure what is going on right now with the search function. Heck I was just looking for a thread with "CB" (No "" just the letters) and it said nothing found... Weird...

My beagle exceeds the weight loading limit for the rear trunk area but she really wants to go along

Several years ago I saw a woman passenger on a Boss Hoss carrying a small dog in a kind of "papoose" carrier but it was in front rather than on her back. Looked to me like it would be a hot ride but she and the dog seemed to be enjoying it.

talked to IG at the fest and it has been used to mount a carrier but its pretty high up for the dog and the wind can be an issue as well.

there were a few at spyderfest carrying small (like toy sized) dogs. one cple had a pad on the RT glovebox and then they clipped a safety strap around the driver that reattached on both sides of the dog harness. dog rode on top of the glove box area in front of driver.

we for very short rides use a legs forward dog carrier on the passenger

with doggles works fine for short rides.

We are probably the ones talked about above.
We carry our Jack Russell Terrier, Jenny, who weighs 17 lbs., on the Glove Box when we ride three up.
She wears a harness made by Beastriders.com, which has three attachment points on it. The harness actually came with the Beast Rider Seat we also use but the harness can be ordered seperately.
We use a Butt Buffer Gel Pad on the glove box, held with Velcro, the pad is actually from a two wheeler I owned. The harness has an attachment ring on each side so I run the strap (strap is a shoulder strap from a laptop computer case) from one side, around me, and fasten on the other side.
We rode 1500 miles to SPYDERFEST with no problems. Jenny could even lay down on the pad if she wished. I actually like this set up better than using the seat on the back because she is behind the windshield protected from the wind, although she still wears her Doggles.
The one advantage we may have is that Jenny loves to ride as much as we do and willingly jumps onto the tank when we leave for a ride.:ohyea:
