• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Taken from my former dealership yesterday

Former dealer. What they do? Didnt do right? Details plz & name of dealer fyi im compiling a list of [emoji106][emoji107]

I wasn't there but I still care! POW /MIA VETS

Saw that they had supported a customers' rear caliper by the brake hose instead of using a bungee. Wasn't even working on it. Just hanging while I was there for at least 30 minutes while I was there. As far as the name of the business, they are between Indy and Clarksville. That should give you enough info to figure out who it was. I have heard that some techs say it's OK to let them hang because of the parking brake cable (which I still disagree). In this case the cable for the parking brake was not connected. Just the brake hose.

Doc, if it's the one that sells Slingshots, too, they've been my former dealer for over a year.

There is zero harm in hanging that light weight caliper off the brake line. I wouldn't let that stop me from having service done there. It's a much more common practice than you might think.

But it sure doesn't take much to put a piece of wire through a caliper mounting point, and wire it up to something solid...

Nope, it doesn't take much but it's a wasted step. Now if it's a heavy car/truck caliper, that's a different story.

Those mechanics do this type of thing everyday so the thought doesn't even cross their mind that someone is going to over think these things.
