I have an older version(separate from bulb itself) on my Royal Star Venture and it works pretty good. This would be much easier. Dan

Don't know anything about it, but anything that makes you more visible is worth consideration.

Bike alert

Bike alert is what I have on the Yamaha RSV. Works just as they say it should but there is a bit of wiring to set it up and the module needs to be in a certain position. The Stoptix is plug and play.

The Stoptix is plug and play.

Not on an RT it isn't. The tail/brake light is an LED assembly. The only replaceable bulb in it is the turn signal lamp. To use the Stoptix you will have to mount another taillight unit on your bike, which is hardly any better than what you have to do to use the Bike Alert.

Looks like it uses either a mercury switch or the new micro gyro like you find in smart phones. Not bad idea but also not what I personally consider safer (too much automation looses safety) & no statement as to how it handles bumps. Big concern in Louisiana. (Redneck idea) "install a mount & charging system on pedal power bicycle could be great for that". Other products already on market like it. (Personal opinion)
