• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tail light question

I have a Tour Box that has built-in tail lights. This came off a Harley -- and I plan to install it on my BRP passenger back rest area -- remove the back rest and install the Tour Box on the flat plate that comes with the mod. Question: What do I need to do to add the lights to the existing tail lights - or would that cause problems with on-board computers, etc? TIA

I added an auxilliary tail/brake light where the license plate light/reflector was and tapped directly into the white brake light wire to power the 21 watt brake light filament. Been running that way for a week with no nanny issues. Others have reported that adding load to the rear lights is not a problem and that nanny only goes limp when both rear tail/brake lights go out. Not sure just how much more load the 10 amp fused circuit will take, but the light I added has not overloaded the circuit or upset nanny so far. I guess it depends how many lights and the wattage of those in your Tour Box and if you are hooking up both running lights and brake lights. Try it and if it goes into limp mode, trade it in on a RT-S.

Thanks for the help, guys....:2thumbs:

Trade it for a 2010 if any problems? Sounds like a good plan.

The box only has tail lights - the saddle bags have the directional lights, but of course those bags will not fit the bike...
