There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The registration fee gets you all you can eat, all the gas you can burn, free hotel, one pass to the city council meeting on Thursday night, a free night in jail, ---- what are you expecting?? It helps to fund all the expenses for putting this on. There are manny costs involved and if you come you will be paying a small part of it. There is no free lunch on this Planet so count on paying your own way here at SpyderFest or any other function you attend.

Hey Jack , there is no reason to be a smart guy ,never been to one of these and was just wondering , was not expecting free this or free that . One can only believe there:lecturef_smilie: shall be more than enough people showing up and spending there money to more then pay for the cost of giving the event .
Mike , did look up the event , and just wonder ,does everyone pay the registration free ,or just a few ,I am not against paying just have a good question .:bowdown:

Just to help, this is a very expensive event to put on. Facilities have to be rented, food has to be bought, hoodies have to be paid for, etc. We do not make any money on this event. It is for Spyder lovers to come and enjoy the vendors, events, friends, good times. MoGang donates all their time to put this event on. We do it because we love having friends having fun.
As indicated if you will go to Spyderfest.com you will see a day by day listing of the events that will be going on. To name a few: bonfire, Spyder games, racing, Casino night, a dance, a movie, guided rydes, Cruise 66, pie run, etc. You will get much more than the entry fee charged. Hope this helps.

To add to Linda's post, there will be some events that will ask for donations or a small fee. These events are fundraisers for local charities. Last year, GOS did the Pancake breakfast with many people donating money to Isabel's House, a local home that provides shelter for children that come from families in crisis. This is just an example...

Jack would love to meet up with you just to see if you are as big of a jerk in person .
All I did was ask a question ,being I have never been there before ,was not a money problem at all ,blow that much on lunch ,.But the question did bring out ,the jerks on this site ,not all for a lot just gave me the reason for the money ,was all I ask .
Answer to your question about buying you a beer ,would be my honor to buy you one sense I feel you must be on the low in side of life and have not much to live off of . :clap:
