• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Switched to a RT-S

You did good. I also went from a 2008 SM5 to a 2010 RT-S premier edition. I am a fan of the touring comfort and accessories. So, it turned out to be a good match for me. Still loving my RT-S 31,000 miles later.

Same here!

Thanks

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. We finally had a chance to ride for a bit today, about 100 miles. Definitely different. I think it handles better. Love the electric windshield and the cruise. The misses loves her seat. Right foot was a little warm. All as expected. Now it's time to look at my first mod. Maybe second since we already installed the comfort seat.

Yep.I had separation anxiety also....It was hard for me to let go of my first Spyder...It changed our lives, and I feel like I deserted it....Maybe we should start a support group for for those of us who went to the DARK SIDE ! :chat:....I can't even get myself to change my avitar..

That is so true, even in things other than motorcycles, it is so much better the second time around!

NEW RYDE

I also have made the SWITCH, from 08 to 2012 RT-S in magnesium. I put 32,000 miles on 08 and really had her DIALED-IN , if you know what I mean. I have put 1000 miles on RT, but sure is a whole new ball game. Will have to give her more time, some TLC, farkels, ect. I must admit, she is a nice ryde, but will miss the sporty 08.
