There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Suspension compressor

I am having a problem with the suspension compressor. I have checked Fuse f8 and r1 relay. Both good. I was able to check the relay that lowers the pressure by jumping it and it works. As of now I have not been able to get to the compressor connection to check it. When I press the switch to increase or decrease the pressure, it shows on the display but nothing works. Any ideas or help would certainly be appreciated.

If it is like my 2012 RT Ltd. the compressor itself may have died. Mine was making a little extra noise when running and that lasted about two days before it stopped working completely. I had to disconnect the ride height sensor to keep the system from dumping air when it called for it to. Even pulling the relay for the system did it stop the air dump valve from opening. I just add air through the valve under the seat until I can get it into the shop is winter. I believe mine is an open circuit in the pump motor since it did to blow a fuse or anything.

The Spyder has to be running, in gear, with the parking brake released for the air suspension to function.

I dont know if the suspension is different from '11 up, but a tech told me yesterday that there was no air in the system on my wifes Spyder.
He had to manually add air to the system.

The RTS and LTD have automatic suspension systems, so the compressor adds the air. If yshe has an RTS or LTD and there was no air at all, something is wrong with the ACS and the tech should have troubleshot and repaired it. The standard and A&C models need to have the air added manually. The system should not be run at less than 10 psi, and 30 or better is more common. If she has one of those models, she needs to check the air pressure periodically. If it won't hold air, the source of the leak should ber found and repaired (most often the valve core in the Schrader valve under the seat).

Hi,

Accessing the compressor it's not very hard. You have to know what to dissamble.

First remove the seat. Next you have to remove screw that hold the saddle bag. You unplugged all wire. Next you have four big gold bolt that you remove under seat. And you remove all the back of the bike.

You could save a lot of money. To check it first.

Maybe what happen with yours. Me it's on Spyder RTS 2010 SE5 at 42000km.

Thanks, I will look at the compressor next. I tried reaching it without removing the rear compartment. I guess this is next.

It's an LTD.

The tech said they can loose pressure if sitting a long time which it was.

Will keep an eye on it.

It should not lose pressure completely...not more than a couple of pounds overnight. An RTS or LTD that was just ridden should never read zero! The automatic suspension feature will refill the system as soon as the Spyder is started, in gear, and the parking brake is released. The automatic systems should never have to be filled manually...precharging them does nothing as the automatic system takes over as soon as they are moving. Have that lazy tech check carefully for leaks. Just because he has seen a lot of them do it, doesn't mean it is right or normal. I'm betting you have a leaky valve core in the Schrader valve, a leak in the air piping, or a failed air bag.
