• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

surging

for lack of a better word. When applying the brakes as the speed gets lower the RT starts surging like something is out of round.I ask the dealer to check it out when I had it serviced last and they said they couldn't duplicate it but they only rode it 3/10 of a mile.Anybody else had this problem.
Thanks
Geo.

If its an SE they do surge as it downshifts on its own; more noticeable in 2nd and 1st. If thats what you're experiencing, try downshifting yourself using the paddle. Takes a little while to get the hang of it.

How many likes are on your bike?
Could the brake pads still need to wearing-in? :dontknow:

Jack the bike up, and pop a wheel off...
If you can set a pointer up next to the rotor, spin the wheel, and look for warpage...
If you've got a set of dial calipers; the the rotor thickness every 45 degress or so all the way around it...
Let us know what you find...Good Luck!

not on the down shift,on the braking.Too cold to mess with it now.I was thinking it might be a rotor warped.
Thanks
Geo.

Little checking..!!

easy check for disk. Raise rear wheel place fixed marker close to disk and slowly spin wheel. Observe space between disk and fixed marker. Though not likely unless you have overheated or hit something. Check pad movement if they hang up this may cause pulsating. Check wheel alignment...things to try..good luck and let us know what you find...

It doesn't take overheating to cause warped rotors. Mine has done it almost since new. None are perfectly true but these are thin and the design doesn't prevent warping.

Warped Disc's

My fronts were warped beyond the acceptable limit and BRP provided new ones under warranty even tho I had 20K on them. I think a lot depends on your mechanic and how much effort he puts into it. Had they not been warrantied, I would have gone with Ron's aftermarkets.
