• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

sure hope they are wrong

I just talked to my daughter in Boone, N.C.. She is a student there at App. State. They are expecting up to 24" of snow this time:yikes:. She sent me a picture yesterday saying that classes were still in session. The photo showed about 3-4" of snow from just a little front that came through that morning.

Well I'm ready for what ever happens.

That front blade looks real handy but what do you do when you have to bucket the snow out of the way? I have a rear blade (PITA) and front bucket. Often considered a front snowblower and a cab. I get 3 and 4 ft. drifts in the drive. :yikes:

Is that a real log Garage you have or horizontal paneling. Looks like machined "D" logs.

The plow is something I built out of an old Meyer plow for a Ford F-150. I made a plate that bolts to the front of the BX and it pins the plow to the plate. I use the loader to lift the plow and the bucket curl to turn the plow left and right. Only takes about 5 minutes to hook up the plow, 1 pin and 2 hydraulic quick connects.
The logs are tongue and groove, they stack one on top of the other and are bolted together as far as I know. House was built before I bought it. If you want more info on what I did on the plow PM me.

OK enough of the fun with the storm, I tend to be a goof ball but this one has the potential to be a serious problem. Hope all of you in the path of it are prepared and hope all of your friends and loved ones are also prepared. Heads up guys and gals.

These are the only groups that I trust to get the most accurate storm weather:

These guys have been spot on at predicting snow and amounts.

From the looks of these maps....DC is going to get slammed, as well as NYC.
And of course, someone is coming to look at our snowmobile tonight to buy it. Since we've had no ride-able snow in awhile, my husband decided to sell it. Figures.:( :gaah: Oh well, I'll just take the 4 wheeler out on Saturday evening.
