• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sunset Spyder Ride

Very nice sunset, Dave. But I'm not so sure about the music??

Cos we drive on the other side if the road here in Oz, I hafta watch vids like that in the mirror to get the rider's view into the right perspective; and turning it around like that makes the music sound all weird! :yikes:

;) :joke:

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Here's a few sunset ride shots of mine.

With the temps still in the triple digits here west of Phoenix, I've been doing mostly sunset rides. I have two awesome places where I go, both about a half hour ride away from my home, one to the North, and the other to the South. I leave before sunset; and arrive home again before dark. It's monsoon season here, so there's amazing storm clouds that build around the valley and the ridge North of our place. The ride to the North is a ride is up the side of Granite Mountain, to a little town of Yarnell on Hwy 89. The ride up the side of Granite Mountain is full of twisties, and there's a beautiful viewpoint a little over half-way up. From there I can see the development where I live down below. The other is south, and passes by a beautiful rock peak, called Vulture Peak, in an area full of Saguaros. Sunset colors here can last a long time, and can be so intense, as to light up the ground in orange and pink glow. You can see that glow in one of the images. Sky colors range from shades of blue, grey, purple and charcoal black.

Signature photo is from the Granite Mountain overlook, Thunderheads were taken from the top of the ridge. Others, are of the Vulture Peak area, including Vulture Peak itself at sunset. What I love about the Spyder, is the ability to pull to the side of the road, set the parking brake, and sit and photograph, or just take in the view. The ride up to the top and back is a blast on all the curves, and is in fact, where I first practiced getting used to my Spyder and how it handled the curves compared to my previous two wheeled bike. The ride to Vulture Peak has its share of fun curves too, although around sunset, free range cows tend to be crossing the road or hanging out at the shoulder. These fun hour-long rides, stunning scenery and beautiful sunsets, are great therapy. Makes for some "life is good" moments.

Tom
