• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Beautiful picture!! :firstplace:
You can fix the title...
In the "Edit Post" area, hit the "advanced" button
That'll give you access to the title area as well.

NICE PIC

Wow what a great picture looks a little like mount Rainier.
I will be up to check it out Myself in 2016. :ohyea:

can't wait

First Thanksgiving we lived in Anchorage (1973), Redoubt blew it's stack. The night before we had about 6" of beautiful snow. Great, because we had new x-country skis. Redoubt erupted and left a couple inches of ash on top of the snow. Wax on the skis lasted for about 10 yards! :sour: :D But she sure is beautiful!!

I was up there in August 2008 attending a firearms class at Front Sight's AK location. Stayed at Daniel's Lake Lodge that is in Nikiski. The sky wasn't that clear of the mountain across the water when I was there.
The temps got up to a blistering 61° during the day. :roflblack: It was a challenge going to bed a 10 pm with sun still up.

Small world. Daniel's Lake Lodge is one of the places I like to stay when I go down on the Kenai. I love to canoe on that beautiful lake.

RE: Temps--by August you can usually tell that fall/winter is on the way. Leaves turn in late August and are usually gone by mid September.
