• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Summer Planning

Given Spydergirl's planned West Coast gathering - there are some really nice alternative routes, for those of us who either don't live South of Eureka, are coming from the East, or just don't like freeways…..

First, this is a great excuse to see Crater Lake - all the way around the rim, and a visit - if not a stay - at the lodge.

If you come up 395 to Lakeview, take 140 to Klamath Falls, then North on 97 to 138 - once through the park, take 62 to 234 to I5, then 4 miles North to 199. 199 will take you through the heart of the Redwoods, ending just south of Cresent City, CA, and 87 miles North of Eureka. I always plan my trips to allow for a meal on the Dock in Trinidad - easy to miss, but you won't want to.

I have traveled all of these roads/areas many times over the years, and I suspect Vaughncat can add some lesser known routes too.

Give us a shout if I/we can help with the planning. This is a truly great place to ryde - and Oregon has NO sales tax…..

That would be Great to have a West Coast Spyder gathering in the Redwoods this summer! I'd take the coastal route Hwy 101 from Washington, down thru Oregon, to Northern California. That would be a very scenic and fun ride!:2thumbs: Hope the gathering comes to be!
Ride Safe,
