• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Splicing the main brace on the bridge? Sampling the beverage of choice? Watching YouTube? Got his ship's drivers license at Walmart? Time for this pilot to retire!

There will most likely be a new pilot and captain when they reach the next port. The captain will be given the responsibility for everything that went wrong and will ultimately pay for the consequences.

As a newbie read the Do's and the Do not's on the General Discussion Page.

It takes from 500 to 1000 nautical miles to unlearn countersteering.

Having been thru the suez on an aircraft carrier (1980) that was the biggest fear is it don't take much to stop traffic going thru. In some places it appeared that we could get a running start and jump from the flight deck onto the sand dunes.

I was just reaching for my cup of coffee when...................."O-crap!" or Someone removed the sign that said “No U-turns allowed in the Suez.”
