• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stupid Question: No Right Hand Grille?

I've noticed you can see the fan in the right hand side from the driver's seat pretty clearly. Tonight my wife said, "How come there's not a grille over that like on the other side?"

So I looked on the 360 view on the CAN AM site - Sure looks like there is a grille. So I go look at the parts catalog: 09 front body... there is an LH Grille (#479) but not an RH Grille. What gives?

This is a 2013 RT-S, by the way.

Not a big deal, but just wondering.

Thanks. The German link just took me to some portal, I didn't find the actual post. From the pic though it looks like some plastic surgery was in order. I noticed the grille is cheap enough (as is speaker grilles which I already bought a pair). Thanks for the info.

Doesn't come with one, It was designed that way for an unrestricted [hot] air flow.

Normal

Your looking at a perfectly normal Spyder. Your just as normal as the rest of us that did not pay attention to details while in the pre-purchase stages of our buying phase...

When in doubt read the manual.....

:welcome: You are not the first and will surely not be the last to ask about the famous "missing" right hand grill. Welcome to the party.

About two months ago my wife and I went for a long ride. When we stopped, I said, "shoot...looks like we lost the grille on this side.." I later realized there never was one. :sour: Does seem odd.

Is this what you're looking for ?

Oh; now that's just showing off! :roflblack:
But how'd you do that?
Is it a left side OEM that's been tinkered?
Kewlmetal?

I like the looks of the RH grille, and am looking at adding both an upper and lower grille. I really like the Spyder web design.

Question -- Since BRP intentionally left a grille off, am I in any danger of not allowing the heat to escape by covering up those holes? I don't want to add something that may generate extra heat.

It was one of the first add-ons we did, never had any issues.
