• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stuck Rear Trunk

I have a 2012 RT-S and I can't get the rear trunk open. I had the Tupperware loose so I could install a trailer harness. When I reinstalled the Tupperware for some reason the trunk handle quit working. The side latches work fine.

Is there a way to get the rear trunk open without the handle operational? All the screws I need to get the Tupperware off so I can work on the linkage is trapped under the stuck lid. I don't know if there is a tool available or some secret technique to pop the lid open.

 If you pop the saddlebags open; I think that you can get to enough screws to remove the rear fender... that might give you enough room to reach up, and snag the back side of the latches...
Good Luck!

Still Stuck

I tried pulling out all of the hardware I could, but there is no way to pull that rear fender out enough to reach up into there. You would have to destroy the fender to pull it out far enough.

Does the latch handle move in and out as it normally did or is it stuck in the locked position? Is the latch handle hanging loose, like the cable came loose from it's carrier? I'd try asking your dealer who could contact Can Am for a possible solution.
