The other day I was riding & stopped to get fuel, when I returned to my Spyder I got on, after ans. a few curious onlookers questions, and took off. I didn't get very far though before I knew I had a problem; it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear, not to 2nd or N. Thankfully home wasn't far away. After sitting for 1 1/2hrs it was fine. I rode it a couple of days with no problems until I took it for the 625mi. check. I got on it afterwards and it wouldn't shift out of "N". They have replaced a sensor and a spring in the oil system somewher, that was supposed to fix it. It didn't. The tech. said that when the TCM got hot it was shorting or shutting down for some reason. When then tech. plugged into the diag. port it indicated that the Syder was in "N" when in fact it was in 1st gear. I'm still waiting for word on what the problem is now. Any ideas? We just missed 2 days of decent riding weather and don't want to miss any more. I hope this is not indicative of what we have to look forward to in the future. If so, I'll get my Goldwing back out.:banghead:
