• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

STS Frunk removal

I looked here and Youtube and found videos for removing "Tupperware" to access the battery on GS/RS and RT's but nothing on ST's. Does anyone know of a "How to guide for accessing the Battery on the ST's? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't think there is a video for the ST-S but it is similar to the RT. Four bolts on the top side, two on the bottom, disconnect a connector on each side of the frunk and then it comes right off.

Here's the thing..!!

if your battery is mounted in the front you can reach it through the frunk without removing anything. If your battery is located in the left rear then you saw the videos. Your owners manual should tell you these things. They put the battery up front on some 2013's to make it easier to get to. Open your frunk and check for a removable panel lower back...good luck..!!

No need to remove the trunk to remove the battery. Just remove the access panel inside the trunk. This is the same for all 2013 models.

Thanks Carl, that sounds easy enough. The videos showed it to be much more involved. The mirrors were removed as were several side panels. I much prefer your description. I'm doing it to access the battery. Thanks again.

When you open the frunk there are two black panels on the top side that are removed. They are just cover panels and lift off very easily.

All the bolts are 10mm. On the top side the two inner bolts are the most troublesome. I used a 10mm universal socket and just took my time.

Exactly as I stated.....The way that the sides and frunk come off are more like the GS/RS/RSS body style. So if you found a video on the GS/RS/RSS it will be pretty much the same for the STS. The only thing that is different is the way the mirrors and top plastic by the handle bars and headlights etc are different.

Oh I see, sorry wasn't thinking. It sounds like though I don't really have to remove it at all to get to the battery. But your info is helpful anyway. Thanks
