• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

sts exhaust

I don't THINK so...
The new STS shares it's engine (991 series) with the RT; as does the 2013 RS...
The older RS bikes had a 990 series engine with it's own exhaust configuration.

Sorry!
(But I could also be wrong...)

ok thanks. I thought that would be the case. It's a shame cause that muffler looks much better than the old stock RS can. :(

Why not a hindle? :dontknow: they were designed for the RS/GS bikes...

I have a Yoshimura on there now (far better than the hindle) I was just contemplating going back to stock. I love the sound of the yoshi but still have some backfire and popping issues. I have the O2 modifier on it and it helps reduce these problems about 90% but to totally eliminate it I would have to go to a fuel manager like the PC or JB. Thats a sweater thread that I'm just not anxious to pull. Seems like alot of trouble to go thru just for a better sounding pipe. Some things are just better left stock.

:agree: Nobody enjoys adding farkles to the bike more than I do; but I won't touch intake, exhaust, or electricals... :yikes:
More trouble than they're worth!

You just wedged a socket in the pipe??? :yikes: Can you explain the benefit of this and how or why it would work? I wonder if installing a slip in baffle would accomplish the same thing that you did with a socket. Just guessing of course
