Anyone out in there that has put a strobe on their signal lights? Looking at alternatives to get the attention of the cagers
Not sure how it is in Canada, but illegal in most states here.
Bob,
You just can't fix stupid... :gaah:
You find yourself reaching for your license and paperwork??? :shocked:I don't like seeing strobes in the mirrors...:shocked:pps:
That is absolutely the longest sentence I have ever tried to read! :gaah:
I found a company called closer to wholesale on e bay that sell lots of different led marker lites i found a oval one that matches the reflector on the fender bracket and i put small amber ones behaind the mesh grilles on the sides front and back just used black zip ties and added a red marker to tah area as well then i found some 3/4x3in ones and mounted them to the shocks down low front and rear tied these into the blinkers i replaced two of the front blinker bulbs with leds so the draw would be about the same with the extra leds now when the blinkers are on you have the stock ones from the front as well as two lower on the shocks you have two extra ones on the side and you have the rear stock as well as the two on the shock down low , I also replaced the licence holder with a chrome frame that had licence lite brake and tail lite then cut the black part out of the stock fender lite and made it a brake lite as well as the one on the on the frame i replaced one of the upper tail lites with an led and left one stock so i didnt have to add a resistor to keep the nany happy it all works well and adds a lot of visibility the markers are $5to 8 each {why the lawyers thought it would be safer to take full power away in limp home i dont understand if you are on the freeway and lose a tail lite and can only 40 mph is worse that maybe being able to get sideways}
No crack, but you still don't use punctuation, capitals, or periods, making your lengthy single sentence paragraphs almost unintelligible to most of us. You probably have given some very good information, but if we can't read it and there are no pictures either, it does us no good. :dontknow:OK smarties im not a crack user, I'll try to figure out how to upload pics, So what I did was add three extra side turn signal lites one where the reflector was on the rear fender bracket and the other two behind the air mesh grilles, this give great side visibility, for front and rear visibility i used four 3/4x4in amber leds mounted to bottom of the shocks front and rear, now you can see the stock rear and the front on the shocks from behind, from the front you see the stock mirror and the lower shock mounted ones,for marker lites I added two red led's with the turns behind the mesh cooling vents with black zip ties, for the rear I bought a chrome licence plate frame with led brake taillite and plate lite then I filed out the black backing on the stock lower lens lite and wired it as a brake lite and tail lite , to keep all this from overloading electricaly I replaced the two front turn signals with led bulbs and one of the upper taillite bulbs with an led but left one regular bulb so there would be enough load for the flasher and the sensors to work without having to put in a resisitor These are all truck clearance sealed Led's that i bought from Closer to Wholesale on e bay these run $5to8 each free shipping Make sure you put plugs on the wires so you can remove the side panels and leave the lites mounted to tupperware
Here's the eBay vendor he was talking about, has some interesting lights...

I didnt have any trouble reading his long sentence and didnt think we had grammatical requirements for posts!
