There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The first of the Brand New BRP Tail Light Housing arrived late yesterday afternoon.:yes::yes::2excited:

We will begin the conversion process to convert these to the new Super Bright Street Magic Genesis LEDs today. :ohyea:

To those of you who have already "reserved a new conversion unit" we will try to ship out all the standing orders today. :2thumbs:

Unfortunatly, the demand for "new conversions" has already been far greater than we thought it would be. Almost all of the 10 sets of new tail light housings that our Dealer could get for us right now are already spoken for, and the remaing sets will most likely be be gone by the end of the day. However, we already have our dealer trying to get us addition housings ASAP from somewhere in BRP's system.

This will not effect those of you who are already sending in your housing for conversions, only those of you who want to buy a new housing for conversion, as we wil have to wait till addition housing can be located.

Below is the info on these units again, for those of you that missed the first thread.

Finally, finally, finally! :gaah:

After over a year of R&D to defeat the "VSS", "check engine light" and "limp home mode" problems caused by switching to LED bulbs in the stock tail light housings, NMN has solved this problem today!

NMN is now able to convert your Stock Tail Light Housing to run the Super Bright Street Magic Genesis LED Clusters. :ohyea:

This conversion of your stock tail light housing installs 24 Super Bright Street Magic Genesis LEDs in each tail light housing. This conversion not only provides a vastly improved lighting output, but also eliminates the constant hassle of replacing burned out bulbs.

This conversion to your stock tail light housing, is able to be done in (most cases) in just one business day! Thus, providing minimum down time needed for the conversion.

To have this conversion performed, please call us schedule your conversion. Once scheduled, remove your stock tail light housings and send them in along with the bulb sockets to us. (Reason for the scheduling is to be sure our being away for a rally will not delay your conversion being done.)

We will perform the Street Magic Genesis LED upgrade to your stock housings under normal conditions in just one business day! The only thing you will have to do is reinstall and plug in the upgraded units when you receive them, for a quick and easy to do upgrade to your Spyder's lighting system. :2thumbs:

The Street Magic Super Bright Genesis LED conversion will be $139.95, and comes with a lifetime LED cluster replacement warranty.

Perhaps you should buy (at a reduce cost since they are used) the stock units from those that have ordered complete replacement units? Then you could re-sell them for a bit less than the 'new' units.

Not really a 'core exchange', but a buy-back system. Seems a shame to have those stock units laying around in people's garages not being used. This would increase your available inventory and thus allow more riders to make the switch - without downtime.

Problem with this is as Evan mentioned in the other post that each unit will be in different condition and some folks just aren't happy unless its scratch/damage free so could be a nightmare situation.

:agree::agree::agree:

Been there, seen that, done that in years past with other items, and he is 100% right! It quickly can become a nightmare for everybody.:gaah:

Everybody's "idea" of what "new" is, runs just about the same all the time.

But, what is considered "good condition" for anything used, be it bikes, cars or even tail lights will vary widely from person to person. That makes it almost impossiable to say what will be "acceptable" as "good used condition" from one customer to the next. :dontknow:

I'd rather convert their's and they know what they are getting back, than ever have someone be mad at me because they feel the light I sent them back was somehow "less" that what they had sent in. Or, that what they thought a "good condidtion" used light should be is not what I sent to them.

Now for those who are not picky i bet some of the fine spyderlovers who purchased the new replacement would probably be willing to part with the old ones. This is what i'm hoping for anyways so if someone has the removed unit and want to sell it let me know :D

I think that is a GREAT IDEA!!!! :2thumbs:

If you guys want to swap between yourselves and THEN send it to me after you have had the chance to inspect the lights that would be GREAT!

That way everybody gets to see and inspect the light they are getting before it is converted.

Okay - the personal selling would work - Just adds a third shipping for the end user. I just can't see anyone being that picky about something that's INSIDE the bike that no one will ever see. I could care less if it's 'scratched' or not - if it works - it works. If it was the outside lens I could understand. Pretty sure people should understand the idea of 'refurbished'.

I haven't burnt a bulb out yet (7,500 miles), so I'm in no hurry for the upgrade---- have to wait until Jan next year when it's snow season-:D.

Ideally an LED socket-friendly bulb replacement would be great - if there's enough room in there - never had it open I don't think.

So there should be quite a few popping up on the for sale thread soon. New is $85 for a pair--- so what's a fair 'used' price? $45 ???

That's just the problem, it's the outside of these lights (the red lens) gets all scratched and hacked up by the side panels real bad in just normal use. Even washing them down can put sctratches in the lens.

To see it for yourself pull one of your rear side panels. Look where it comes into contact with the light and just look at all the hack marks from the panel rubbing on it. The more miles, the worse the hack marks are. Even our SE5 with only a few hundred miles already had a good amount marks in it already.

I wish everybody was as nice and as easy going as you are about things like this.

:agree: Last time i took my panels off I noticed dirt caked on the side of the lense that gets covered by the panels (This doesn't bother me its on the external visible scratches that would bother me) But my plan is to get the replacements from someone take mine off put those on send mine to Evan and then put mine back on that way what i'm using is what i had all along. Might be more work for me but atleast it keeps me riding for those 48 - 72 hours while i want on shipping there then the work done then the shipping back :D
